There is a difference between being complete in Christ [Col 2:10] vs Christ in us [Gal 4:19].
There are good, faithful men that preach rightly divided. However, we must always remember that every one of them can only preach "as much as is in them." Even our Apostle Paul could only preach as much as was in him. (cf. Rom 1:15 KJB) Anything said by any man (faithful or not) can only be according to their understanding--and that, only as much as is in them.
Time is short, and we must do the work of faith to build Christ up in us. You see, many will say: "We are complete in Christ! We are complete in Christ!" Which is true, however that which will benefit us today in the dispensation of the grace of God is to be edified: that is, to build Christ up in us, being conformed to the image of Christ!
~ And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. [Romans 12:3]
Study is the practical functional sanctification work that we are to do after being justified and receiving a positional sanctification, because we are not automatically conformed to the image of God upon
being justified.
Not all, not even the good, faithful, rightly
dividing men that preach the grace message know this.
~For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we SHOULD walk in them. [Eph 2:10]
Not one of the men we listen to will be
standing with us at the Judgment Seat of Christ. We would do well to have 2
Timothy 2:15 tattooed to the inside of our eyelids, lest we ever forget our
desire to be approved unto God.
~ So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. [Romans 14:12]
