Foggy, but persuaded...

I woke up this morning with thoughts in my head...of course coming right out of sleep, the thoughts weren't all that coherent.   However, the 'impression' in my soul and spirit was that this business of Grace (the grace message, the grace living) is something that God takes as serious as serious can be.   I think--again, I don't have my thoughts formulated, but--I think it's because the 'wisdom and understanding' just gets deeper and deeper and deeper.   It's a strange thing....but a marvelous--totally exciting thing, especially to think I haven't even scratched the surface!

Oh, how I desire that for my beloved family, first of all to have the 'want to' and then to desire it more than anything!

Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

I have often thought of ...was it Ezekiel, or Elijah or 'E'somebody... that was told to walk into the water, up to his ankles, then knees, then chin (I'm paraphrasing very badly here...) and then find himself engulfed.   Sometimes I feel like the 'grace journey' has been like that:  feet first and then finding myself swimming in an ocean of Grace!

Not to follow Paul and adhere to the instructions he received from the risen ascended Christ is just as serious and needful for us gentiles/nations in the present to 'please' God as for a Jew in Time Past not to follow Moses and adhere strictly to the 'instructions' he received from the preincarnate Son of God.

Both Jews in the past and gentiles in the present have the same 'free choice'...the difference is that judgment was swift under the Law as opposed to the longsuffering and forbearance of God today.  In the Body of Christ, we have our judgment too--not destined to Hell, but destined to an eternity that reveals how much or how little we allowed Christ to live in us herein the 'now' while He is being longsuffering and forbearing with us.

Galatians 2:20  I am cruicified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith [God's word to me today] of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

               1 Corinthians 3:13-15
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
