Reject vs. Receive

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
 [2 Corinthians 5:20]

Though Christendom--and, particularly, friends and family--REJECT our rightly-divided words, we can take heart we've done our part by sowing the seeds of the word of truth and let God give the increase.   [1 Corinthians 3:7]  Just as in the physical, not every seed takes root...it must be RECEIVED.

~These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, IN THAT THEY RECEIVED THE WORD with all READINESS of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.  [Acts 17:11]

We’re exhorted in scripture again and again to follow our apostle Paul (God’s spokesman today) by RECEIVING (not rejecting!) and HEEDING the words given to him by the Lord Jesus Christ…

… ye despised not, nor rejected; but RECEIVED me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus [Galatians 4:14]

BE YE FOLLOWERS of me, even as I also am of Christ. [1 Corinthians 11:1]

Wherefore I beseech you, BE YE FOLLOWERS of me. [1 Corinthians 4:16]

Brethren, BE FOLLOWERS together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. [Philippians 3:17]

ACCORDING TO THE GRACE OF GOD which is GIVEN UNTO ME, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take HEED how he buildeth thereupon. [1 Corinthians 3:10]

May I ask...

Who are you following?
Whose words are you heeding?
Whose words are you rejecting?
Who are you giving your time,
talent and treasure to?

If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that THE THINGS THAT I WRITE unto you ARE THE COMMANDMENTS of the Lord.  [1 Corinthians 14:37]

As an ambassador for Christ,
I must tell you, it does matter.
Read all about it for yourself, here...
