The Gap Principle

"To Gap or not to Gap"

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; 

and darkness was upon the face of the deep.  

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

[Genesis 1:1-2 KJB]

There are teachers and preachers in both church and secular settings that speak against such an occurrence, but as with anything of importance, it would profit us to check into what God has to say on the subject and allow the Holy Ghost to teach us [1 Cor 2:13], comparing verses of His word of truth to see 'whether these things were so' [Acts 17:11 KJB].

These teachings present an excellent, biblical-based case for there in deed being a Gap.
