A special smile...

...a smile that no one can take away.

I started blogging my own personal blog—not because I’m a writer (I’m not!), but because there are thoughts--good thoughts--that come to me while thinking about what is going on in my life; and I don't want to forget them.  Those thoughts are what the Holy Spirit has brought to my mind to apply to daily situations, be they good times or bad, pleasant times or unpleasant.

It's when the Holy Spirit brings to my remembrance the Sound Doctrine stored up in my soul and spirit (through studying His Word of truth rightly divided) that a smile appears on my face, although the 'situation' remains. I smile other times, but I am highly conscience of when that smile appears.  I revel in that special smile, as I know "He” put it there.  I love when that happens--that is when the Comforter comforts me.

I constantly have to remind myself, when in the thick of battle that we are to walk by faith, not by sight.  It's at times like that I take a deep breath, and remind myself of what is true (eternal) and not the moment at hand (temporal), and take comfort in the scriptures when They say the battle is His, and that He is not only able but willing and ready--when I yield my will, my flesh, and walk in the things of the Spirit

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Like I said above, the situation remains, but the smile is still there because it is then and only then do I experience the peace that passes all understanding...and that smile appears--and no one can take it away.

Philippians 4:6-8
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Thank you, Lord!  ...to Him alone be all the glory!

Grace to you,
