Here
is a list of some pertinent words and phrases found in Paul's epistles, as put
together by my Facebook friend and dear sister in the Lord, “Faith
Plusnothing.” You might find it helpful to see how and where Paul
used these words at different times in his ministry as the apostle of the
Gentiles.

shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak

have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but
also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.

the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without
charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.

the gospel of Christ:

from the dead according to my gospel:
The
Gospel:
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the
gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always
in my prayers;
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel
to you that are at Rome also.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

As concerning the gospel, they are
enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved
for the fathers’ sakes.

Gentiles, ministering the gospel
of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being
sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:
And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in
the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel:
not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of
none effect.
For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have
ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the
gospel.
If others be partakers of this power over you, are
not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things,
lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.
Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the
gospel should live of the gospel.
For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing
to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach
not the gospel!
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if
against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is
committed unto me.
What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the
gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ
without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel
which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye
stand;
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is
in the gospel throughout all the churches;
Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify
God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of
Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as
though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching
the gospel of Christ:
To preach the gospel in the regions
beyond you, and not to boast in another man’s line of things made ready
to our hand.
Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might
be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel
of God freely?

that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel
of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel
of the circumcision was unto Peter;
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to
the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them
all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do
the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

gospel unto you at the first.

body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
And your feet shod with the preparation of the
gospel of peace;
And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may
open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
For your fellowship in the gospel from the
first day until now;
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because
I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and
confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which
happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence
of the gospel.
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the
gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be
absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one
mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with
other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the
gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with
me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye
heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel;
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be
not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and
which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul
am made a minister;
But even after that we had suffered before, and were
shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak
unto you the gospel of God with much contention.
But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the
gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our
hearts.
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to
have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only,
but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for
labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we
preached unto you the gospel of God.
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and
our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to
establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality
to light through the gospel:

might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:
Dispensation:
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if
against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is
committed unto me.
If ye have heard of the dispensation of the
grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation
of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Foundation:
Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not
where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as
a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another
buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is
laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious
stones, wood, hay, stubble;
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and
prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure,
having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that
nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Committed
to Paul:
1 Corinthians 9:17
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if
against my will, a dispensation of
the gospel is committed unto me.
2 Corinthians 5:19
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto
himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Galatians 2:7
But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the
gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;
1 Timothy 1:11
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Titus 1:3
But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me
according to the commandment of God our Saviour;
Reconcilliation:
2 Corinthians 5:17-19
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And
all things are of God, who hath
reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; to wit, that God was in
Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto
them; and hath committed unto us the
word of reconciliation.
Reconcile:
Ephesians 2:15-17
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in
himself of twain one new man, so
making peace; and that he might reconcile
both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that
were nigh.
And, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say,
whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Reconciled:
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to
God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be
saved by his life.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled
us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of
reconciliation;
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled
to God.
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your
mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
Apostle of the Gentiles:
For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the
apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:
(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the
Gentiles:)
Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle,
(I speak the truth in Christ, and
lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
Adoption:
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to
fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba,
Father.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the
firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting
for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption,
and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of
God, and the promises;
to redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons.
having predestinated us unto the adoption of children
by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Sons:
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons
of God.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God.
I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons
I warn you.
Galatians 4:5-7
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might
receive the adoption of sons. And
because ye are sons, God hath sent
forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God
through Christ.
that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of
God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom
ye shine as lights in the world;
One
Body:
For as we have many members in one body, and
all members have not the same office:
so we, being many, are one body in
Christ, and every one members one of another.
For we being many are one bread, and one
body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
For as the body is one, and hath many members,
and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body:
so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one
body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond
or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
For the body is not one member, but many.
But now hath God set the members every one of them in
the body, as it hath pleased him.
And if they were all one member, where were
the body?
But now are they many members, yet but one body.
That there should be no schism in the body; but that
the members should have the same care one for another.
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body
by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:
There is one
body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of
your calling;
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which
also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
New Man:
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the
law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of
twain one new man, so making peace;
And that ye put on the new man, which after
God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
And have put on the new man,
which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
New Creature:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing,
nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
