When was the last time you checked out what your bible said…or, for that matter, what it doesn't say? Here is what our Lord Jesus Christ says about the need for 'every' word...
Matthew 4:4 KJB
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJB
All scripture […refers to written words] is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect [mature (not sinless) in the faith], throughly furnished unto all good works.
Without EVERY word there on the pages to read, faith will be stunted and spiritual growth restricted.
Romans 10:17 KJB
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
It’s simple to ‘be saved’ (see 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB). (All God requires of us is to believe him.) But, without the full, complete words of God available, it’s impossible to come unto the knowledge of all his truth.
1 Timothy 2:4 KJB
[God] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
