…His words are POWERFUL. He created heaven and earth with them.

…God tells us in the Bible that He considers EVERY one of his words important! …not just once, but TWICE!

Luke 4 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
…God tells us His words ARE NOT to be tampered with!!
Deuteronomy 4 2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

…”Scripture” refers to the actual words ON THE PAGE. God tells us we do things wrong because we don’t know what He has had WRITTEN DOWN for us.

…Since we can trust God, we can TRUST THE WORDS He has preserved for us.

…We know what God thinks of His words. But, what does God say OUR words should be?

Ephesians 4 29Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying [build other up, rather than tear them down], that it may minister grace [give to others that which they don’t deserve] unto the hearers.

…Words, before they are spoken, are formed from the thoughts in one’s mind. Therefore, it is important that we THINK, and then think again (and maybe even again) BEFORE WE SPEAK.
